This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Digital Warranty Vault ("Application") for mobile devices. The Application is a personal warranty tracking tool designed to help users organize, secure, and manage their purchase documents, warranties, receipts, and invoices.

🗄️ Local-Only Data Storage

The Application is built with a strict "local-first" privacy architecture. This means:

  • Zero Server Transmission: All data you enter (product names, categories, store details, purchase dates, warranty durations, values, and images or PDF files of invoices) is stored exclusively on your device using sandboxed, secure local databases.
  • No Cloud Harvesting: We do not host, sell, read, or upload your personal warranty database. What is stored on your device stays on your device.

☁️ Google Drive Backups (Optional)

If you choose to use the cloud backup feature to prevent data loss, the Application uses Google Sign-In to connect securely to your own Google Drive:

  • Permission Limit (drive.file): The Application requests the narrowest possible permission. It can only read, write, and manage backup files that were created by this specific Application. We cannot view or access your general Google Drive files.
  • Backup Files: Backups are saved inside a folder named WarrantyVaultBackups on your personal Drive.
  • Email Scope: Your email address is only requested to display the connected account status in the settings screen. It is never transmitted to us or any third parties.

📸 Device Permissions

To function properly, the Application requests the following permissions:

  • Camera: Used to capture photos of paper receipts or warranties to link them to your records.
  • Storage / Files: Used to browse, select, and import digital invoices, receipts, or PDF files from your device.

Important: These permissions are handled entirely client-side. The media files remain inside the Application's private storage directory on your phone.

💳 Premium Upgrades

The Application includes a PRO version upgrade, processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not process, collect, or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or transaction data. Everything is safely handled by Google.

🔒 Data Deletion

You have full ownership of your data. You can delete your data instantly at any time:

  • Deleting items in the app removes them permanently.
  • Uninstalling the app completely wipes all local databases and cached receipt files.
  • If you connected your Google Drive, you can delete the WarrantyVaultBackups folder from your personal Google Drive or disconnect the app through your Google Account permissions settings.
